The Role

We are seeking an experienced Airline Alliance Manager to lead airline partnership strategies, alliance governance, and commercial collaboration initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee strategic airline relationships, codeshare and interline partnerships, alliance performance, joint business initiatives, and cross-functional coordination while ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance network reach, customer value, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement airline alliance strategies, partnership frameworks, and commercial collaboration plans aligned with organizational objectives and network expansion goals.
  • Lead the management of airline alliances, codeshare agreements, interline partnerships, joint ventures, loyalty partnerships, and strategic aviation collaborations.
  • Collaborate with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations, Finance, Legal, Digital, Airport Operations, and Executive Leadership to maximize alliance performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new airline partners while strengthening relationships with existing alliance members and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate commercial initiatives including network optimization, schedule coordination, route development, pricing alignment, joint marketing campaigns, and customer experience improvements.
  • Oversee alliance governance, steering committee meetings, partnership reviews, performance scorecards, and executive engagement with airline partners.
  • Monitor alliance agreements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, service-level commitments, and operational standards.
  • Analyze alliance performance, passenger traffic, route profitability, revenue contribution, market share, connectivity, and customer satisfaction to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support joint business planning, alliance integration projects, digital collaboration initiatives, and shared customer service enhancements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution involving operational performance, schedule disruptions, baggage handling, loyalty programs, ticketing, and customer service.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including alliance revenue, codeshare performance, passenger growth, route profitability, customer satisfaction, partner engagement, network connectivity, on-time performance, and commercial return on investment (ROI).
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, alliance performance reviews, risk assessments, partnership evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE aviation regulations, international aviation agreements, competition laws, consumer protection requirements, IATA standards, and organizational governance policies.
  • Manage alliance budgets, commercial investments, partnership contracts, technology integrations, consulting engagements, and strategic alliance initiatives.
  • Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered network analytics, predictive demand forecasting, alliance performance dashboards, automated partner reporting, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Utilize Sabre, Amadeus, Navitaire, SITA, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, CRM platforms, airline reservation systems, revenue management systems, and aviation analytics tools to optimize alliance performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, alliance performance reports, commercial business reviews, partnership evaluations, revenue analyses, strategic proposals, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop alliance specialists, commercial analysts, partnership managers, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, customer focus, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Economics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration (MBA), International Business, Strategic Management, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in IATA Airline Management, Aviation Commercial Management, Project Management Professional (PMP), Commercial Strategy, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airline alliances, commercial aviation, network planning, revenue management, aviation partnerships, airline sales, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing airline partnerships, alliance programs, commercial agreements, network development initiatives, or cross-functional aviation projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of airline alliances, codeshare agreements, interline operations, network planning, aviation commercial strategy, revenue management, customer loyalty programs, aviation regulations, and partnership governance.
  • Experience with Sabre, Amadeus, Navitaire, SITA, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, CRM platforms, airline reservation systems, revenue management systems, and aviation analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered aviation analytics, predictive network planning, digital partnership platforms, customer journey analytics, automated reporting solutions, and advanced commercial intelligence technologies is highly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, project management, budgeting, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple alliance initiatives while balancing commercial priorities, partner expectations, regulatory requirements, budgets, timelines, and organizational objectives.
