The Role

We are seeking an experienced Airport Lounge Attendant / VIP Boarding Host to welcome lounge guests, provide personalized assistance, support boarding coordination, and ensure travelers receive a smooth and premium airport experience.

The ideal candidate is confident, courteous, attentive to detail, and comfortable working with international travelers, VIP guests, airline representatives, and airport service teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome passengers and VIP guests warmly while maintaining a professional and polished appearance.
  • Verify lounge access, passenger eligibility, boarding information, reservations, and approved guest details.
  • Assist travelers with lounge facilities, seating, dining, refreshments, Wi-Fi, business services, and other available amenities.
  • Provide personalized assistance to VIP, corporate, first-class, business-class, elderly, and special-assistance passengers.
  • Monitor lounge occupancy and coordinate seating, guest flow, service requests, and facility availability.
  • Communicate flight schedules, boarding times, gate information, delays, changes, and other approved travel updates.
  • Coordinate with airline staff, airport operations, gate agents, concierge teams, and passenger-service departments.
  • Support boarding announcements, passenger notifications, priority boarding, and escorted boarding procedures where required.
  • Ensure VIP guests receive timely reminders and assistance before boarding.
  • Assist passengers with special requests, accessibility requirements, language needs, transportation coordination, and other approved services.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, service requests, and unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest records, service notes, incident reports, and shift documentation where required.
  • Monitor lounge cleanliness, presentation, supplies, food and beverage availability, and guest-facing facilities.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, and airport service providers to resolve operational issues.
  • Replenish or report shortages of refreshments, amenities, reading materials, business supplies, and guest-service items.
  • Support special events, VIP arrivals, airline promotions, corporate delegations, and premium passenger programs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding VIP identities, travel arrangements, personal information, and service details.
  • Follow airport security procedures, airline policies, safety requirements, privacy standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Provide professional handovers between shifts and communicate outstanding passenger or operational requirements.
  • Gather guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve lounge and VIP passenger experiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Aviation, Tourism, Business Administration, Customer Experience, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in airport lounges, airlines, hospitality, luxury hotels, VIP services, concierge, or premium customer service is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of airport hospitality, passenger services, lounge operations, or premium guest experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Confident, polished, friendly, discreet, and culturally sensitive personality.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and service-recovery skills.
  • Experience working with VIP, high-value, corporate, or international customers is highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple guest requests and time-sensitive requirements.
  • Comfortable using reservation, passenger-service, CRM, POS, communication, or airport-management systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during flight delays, gate changes, passenger complaints, and other operational disruptions.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to coordinate effectively with airline, airport, security, catering, and hospitality teams.
  • Knowledge of airport terminology, boarding procedures, passenger handling, and aviation service standards is advantageous.
  • Arabic or additional languages such as Mandarin, Russian, French, Hindi, or other major travel-market languages are advantageous.
  • UAE airport, airline, lounge, luxury hospitality, or VIP-services experience is highly advantageous.
  • Aviation, hospitality, customer-service, or airport-services certifications are advantageous but not required.
