Analyst - Partner Channel Acquisition

The Analyst, Partner Channel Acquisition role will support the success of our Affiliate channel with a focus on maintaining profitable card acquisition and driving scalable growth opportunities. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of affiliate partners spanning content specialists, financial educators, loyalty and rewards platforms, and credit score providers.

Working with a broad group of external partners and stakeholders across the acquisition team and beyond, the candidate will leverage strong relationship management, analytical capabilities and marketing expertise to support innovation, efficiency and results across the affiliate channel. 

This position plays a key role in the continued growth of new Card Member acquisition at American Express and offers exposure to a dynamic set of affiliate partners and marketing strategies as the future of search and digital discovery continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

Channel & Acquisition Strategy Execution

  • Support the development and execution of acquisition strategies across card products and affiliate partners, including offers, target audiences and prospect-facing positioning.
  • Own and execute prospect-facing marketing initiatives across a portfolio of 10+ affiliate partners.
  • Assist in identifying expansion opportunities with new and existing affiliate partners through test-and-learn initiatives.

Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Support management of external partner relationships to optimize existing programs and identify new acquisition opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across acquisition, product, commercial marketing and international teams to ensure alignment on strategies.
  • Contribute to partner updates, business reviews and ongoing communications, including sharing performance insights and recommendations.

Campaign & Performance Optimization

  • Leverage data and analytics to track channel performance, identify trends and recommend improvements to campaigns and channel strategies. 
  • Develop data-driven proposals to optimize acquisition outcomes across affiliate partners.
  • Partner with risk and other internal teams to ensure sustainable and compliant acquisition growth. 
Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

  • Strong relationship-building, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to drive results, partnering with multiple stakeholders across functions and levels to deliver on collective objectives. 
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions and drive performance improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and operate effectively within evolving business needs.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting broader organizational goals.
  • Interest in industry trends and external factors impacting acquisition strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Marketing / Business / Commerce, or equivalent combination of education and business experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an equivalent marketing position.
  • Experience in digital marketing, acquisition channels, or partnerships is an asset.
