The strong Assets Plant Officer strong optimizes the utilization tracking and financial performance of all heavy machinery tower cranes generators and vehicle fleets within the construction strong PMV Division strong This role manages asset lifecycles from mobilization to disposal enforcing strict technical compliance cost controls and optimal site allocation to maximize project profitability strong Key Responsibilities strong strong 1 Asset Allocation Mobilization Logistics strong Coordinate the timely strong mobilization and demobilization strong of heavy plant and machinery across multiple active construction sites Evaluate project resource requests against current strong PMV inventory layout charts strong Manage third-party transport logistics for extra-legal heavy or oversized equipment movements Inspect incoming and outgoing machinery to document technical conditions and baseline handovers strong 2 Fleet Tracking Lifecycle Management strong Maintain the master strong Asset Register strong utilizing modern strong ERP or telemetry systems strong e g SAP Maximo Monitor real-time machinery utilization rates using strong GPS tracking and telematics data strong Identify underutilized idle or redundant assets and reallocate them to reduce operational bottlenecks Execute the complete asset disposal or scrap lifecycle for equipment reaching end-of-life status strong 3 Cost Control Financial Reporting strong Analyze total strong operational expenditure OpEx strong including internal hire rates maintenance costs and fuel consumption Track strong Return on Investment ROI strong and depreciation rates for heavy capital assets strong CapEx strong Audit third-party equipment rental invoices and cross-reference them with actual site timesheets Prepare monthly utilization fuel efficiency and maintenance cost variance reports for management strong 4 Compliance Registration Insurance strong Manage timely renewals for strong machinery registration road permits and third-party certifications strong Ensure all tower cranes generators and earthmoving plants comply with local municipal safety codes Coordinate with insurance providers to process claims for damaged vandalized or lost machinery assets Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Experience: Minimum 3+ years of dedicated asset management experience within a construction PMV Division.Technical Mastery: Deep familiarity with heavy construction machinery (e.g., excavators, concrete pumps, tower cranes, generators).Software Skills: High proficiency in Asset Management Software, ERP systems, and MS Excel for financial data analysis.Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills to interface effectively with site managers and vendor suppliers.
