Job Description: Investment& Development Office of Ras Al Khaimah (IDO) is Hiring an Assistant Manager– Accounting& Compliance, based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Job Purpose The role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements, while maintaining and updating the Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual to ensure governance and consistency across all entities. It drives process improvements and automation across key finance workflows by leveraging emerging AI-powered technologies and actively supports the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation. The role also serves as a trusted advisor for Group entities, providing guidance on accounting, compliance and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end standalone and consolidated financials in compliance with IFRS, IDO policies and procedures and statutory requirements. Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual: Maintain, review and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with IFRS, IPSAS and local regulations; drive standardisation and governance across all entities. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify, evaluate and implement enhancements across key finance and compliance processes, leveraging AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude AI to streamline workflows and drive operational efficiency. IFRS Compliance: Provide expert accounting advice to entities and on special projects. Design and deliver structured IFRS training programmes for finance and non-finance stakeholders, incorporating practical case studies and timely updates on new standards and amendments. ERP Implementation: Actively participate in the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation, supporting requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, data migration and post-implementation optimisation. Support Group Entities: Act as a trusted advisor for Group entities on accounting, compliance and reporting matters, providing guidance on IFRS, internal controls and best practices for process improvements. Educational Qualifications CA/ ACCA/ CPA from a recognized professional institution Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10+ years’ experience in techno-functional role Well versed with AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude AI to streamline workflows and drive operational efficiency and its practical implementation in finance function Be able to understand the accounting end to end processes to drive process improvements project to bring in efficiency Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive and influence business solutions Experience working at a fast-moving, global company with international subsidiaries Strong technical / functional accounting background Self-starter with experience of managing projects and monthly processes to tight deadlines Very strong communication skills, ability to develop good working relationships, adept at working individually and as part of a cohesive team Attention to detail and ability to analyse data and problem-solving capability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive and influence business solutions IDO Requirements
