Job Overview
A leading fashion retail company in the United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced
Assistant Manager – Design (Kidswear)
to support the creation of stylish, trend-focused children’s apparel collections. This role is ideal for fashion professionals who have a passion for kidswear design, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced retail environment. The successful candidate will contribute to seasonal collection planning, product development, and design execution while ensuring every collection reflects current fashion trends and customer preferences. Key Responsibilities
Research global fashion trends, colors, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes relevant to children’s fashion. Support the Design Manager in planning and developing seasonal kidswear collections. Create technical sketches, artwork, graphics, and product specifications. Prepare accurate tech packs for manufacturing and product development. Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure successful product execution. Maintain design consistency across collections while meeting brand standards. Participate in trend presentations, design reviews, and product development meetings. Coordinate multiple projects and meet seasonal production timelines. Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners. Required Skills
Excellent understanding of kidswear fashion trends and garment construction. Strong creativity with attention to detail. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Experience with CLO 3D software is an added advantage. Ability to create placement graphics and all‑over print designs. Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills. Excellent time management with the ability to handle multiple deadlines. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 3–5 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably in kidswear. Experience designing apparel collections for retail brands. Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical drawing, and product development skills. Job Location
