Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Assistant Auto Mechanic to support senior mechanics in vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair. The candidate should have basic automotive knowledge and be willing to learn and develop technical skills under the supervision of experienced technicians. This structure is consistent with UAE automotive technician competency guidance, which emphasizes supervised minor repairs, assisting with component removal/installation, tool management, and workshop safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanics in vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Assist with basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and cooling system work.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, greasing, and tyre-related work.
  • Assist in removing, cleaning, repairing, and installing vehicle components under supervision.
  • Support mechanics during engine and mechanical repairs.
  • Arrange and provide required tools, spare parts, equipment, and workshop materials.
  • Assist with vehicle diagnosis and report identified faults to the senior mechanic.
  • Follow instructions, workshop SOPs, manufacturer guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Assist in conducting basic vehicle checks and road tests under supervision.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Record basic repair and maintenance details as required.
  • Report any additional faults or repair requirements beyond the assigned scope to the senior mechanic or supervisor.
  • Support the workshop team in completing repair jobs efficiently and on time.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in an automotive workshop; freshers with basic automotive knowledge may also be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of petrol/diesel vehicle mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and workshop equipment.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in a workshop environment.
  • Good learning attitude and ability to work under the supervision of senior technicians.

Pay: AED2,000.00 per month
