What you will do: Financial Governance and Reporting mandate is to serve Mubadala as a gateway to clarity and confidence. We specialize in delivering accurate, timely, and transparent financial information, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering productive partnerships and trust.

Our responsibility includes, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Corporate & Business Units support, Controls, Business Improvement, and Outsourced Services.

Job Purpose:

  • Support the Corporate & Financial Reporting team with technical financial reporting aspects related to certain investments which are being managed by Corporate Units.
  • Undertake technical accounting aspects related to corporate transactions and investments.
  • To manage, report on and continuously monitor the financial performance of the various Corporate Units.
  • To partner with Corporate Units and provide required financial insight and guidance in relevant finance areas to the respective management teams.
  • To support Corporate Units in delivering timely & quality performance and statutory reporting.
Key Accountabilities: Financial & Statutory Reporting
  • Assist with preparation of consolidated financial and statutory reports by collaborating with Treasury and Strategy teams to ensure compliance within wholly owned Mubadala investee companies, for review by the Vice President, Financial Reporting, to produce accurate group-wide financial disclosures.
  • Develop regulatory returns and quality assure the data used as inputs into these returns in order to validate the quality and integrity of financial information gathered and to assure the quality of statutory and regulatory disclosure.
  • Assist the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closing of accounting books to a high standard.
  • Preparation and review of journals.
  • Critical review of investee submissions.
  • Financial statement notes preparation and review.
  • Analytical review and explanation of variances in the numbers.
  • GL/TB review to ensure accurate and appropriate.
  • Assist the financial audits. Preparation of information required by auditors. Liaise with auditors on audit planning and resolve audit issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting position papers, policies and procedures for individual investments (including acquisitions, disposals and other monetization).
  • Ongoing maintenance/review/reconciliation of books ensuring accuracy and quality of information.
  • Review of new investment documentation and conclusion of classification of investment.
Treasury Accounting
  • Reconciliation of transactions from Treasury Management Systems to Oracle.
  • Prepare and circulate related party and bank confirmations for periodic audits.
  • Review financial statements and disclosures for standalone financial statements and sub-consolidated financial statements related to Mubadala treasury entities.
  • Compare valuations of certain internal and external portfolios to supporting third party documents.
Management Reporting
  • Complete all financial reporting activities as per the timetable set by the central reporting team. These activities include: reviewing and posting accrual and reclassification journals, reviewing relevant AR invoices, updating financial forecasts, etc.
