Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented **Audio Visual Technician** to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our organization's audio-visual operations, delivering exceptional technical support across events, meetings, entertainment venues, and guest experiences. Working collaboratively with multiple departments, you will ensure that every presentation, conference, and special event runs flawlessly while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and innovation. Your expertise in AV systems, combined with your customer-focused approach and problem-solving abilities, will directly contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests and stakeholders.

  • Set up, operate, and dismantle professional audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, entertainment events, and special functions with precision and efficiency
  • Operate sound, lighting, projection, video systems, and LED displays during live events to ensure smooth, professional execution and optimal visual and audio quality
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of all AV equipment to ensure reliability, longevity, and optimal performance across all systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, LED screens, displays, video conferencing systems, and other AV equipment in a timely manner
  • Provide professional on-site technical support for VIP guests, executive meetings, high-profile events, and conference room operations
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of AV equipment specifications, event requirements, technical setups, operational procedures, and industry best practices
  • Coordinate effectively with Events, Banquets, Entertainment, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure all technical requirements are delivered seamlessly and on schedule
  • Support conference rooms, boardrooms, meeting spaces, entertainment venues, digital displays, and in-room AV systems across the organization
  • Ensure all AV equipment is properly maintained, stored, handled, and inventoried in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and organizational standards
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, repairs, service requirements, and technical specifications
  • Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of new audio-visual equipment and systems into existing infrastructure
  • Coordinate with external AV suppliers and contractors when required, ensuring all work meets organizational standards and project timelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while adhering to all health, safety, and operational procedures
  • Respond promptly to AV service requests and technical support calls, minimizing disruption to guest experiences and organizational operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in audio-visual operations within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end event environment
  • Technical proficiency with professional audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems commonly used in corporate and hospitality settings
  • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining AV equipment for events, conferences, weddings, entertainment programs, and corporate functions
  • Solid knowledge of AV troubleshooting methodologies, preventive maintenance practices, and basic equipment repair techniques
  • Understanding of electrical safety practices, AV system installations, and proper equipment handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and service-focused under pressure while maintaining composure during live events
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English communication at a professional level
  • Flexible availability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events as required by organizational needs
