The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Financial Solutions) to lead business-development activities, build strategic client relationships, generate new opportunities, and support revenue growth across financial products and services.

The ideal candidate has strong financial-services knowledge, consultative sales expertise, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to engage confidently with corporate clients, investors, financial institutions, business owners, and senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business-development strategies for financial products and solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities across target markets and customer segments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, investors, financial institutions, intermediaries, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct client consultations to understand business objectives, financial requirements, challenges, and risk considerations.
  • Present appropriate financial solutions based on approved products, client needs, and organizational capabilities.
  • Manage the full business-development cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, onboarding, and relationship development.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while tracking opportunities, activities, conversion rates, and revenue potential.
  • Prepare business proposals, solution presentations, commercial offers, account plans, and client briefing materials.
  • Conduct market research and monitor financial-services trends, competitor offerings, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify cross-selling, upselling, referral, partnership, and strategic-account opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with consultants, brokers, advisors, corporate partners, professional networks, and approved referral channels.
  • Coordinate with product, finance, compliance, risk, legal, operations, and customer-service teams to deliver client solutions.
  • Ensure prospective and existing clients complete required onboarding, KYC, documentation, and approval processes.
  • Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure business-development activities follow applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor revenue, client acquisition, conversion, retention, and other business-development KPIs.
  • Prepare regular pipeline, revenue, market, client, and business-development reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in CRM systems.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, networking activities, webinars, industry events, and other business-development initiatives.
  • Develop account-growth strategies for high-value and strategically important clients.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and retention.
  • Analyze market feedback and communicate client insights to product and management teams.
  • Identify potential risks, conflicts, regulatory concerns, or unsuitable business opportunities and escalate them appropriately.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information, financial data, commercial terms, and business strategies.
  • Support management with market-entry initiatives, strategic partnerships, financial-product projects, and other commercial activities.
  • Follow company policies, financial-services regulations, compliance requirements, ethical standards, and data-protection procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in business development, financial services, banking, wealth management, fintech, corporate finance, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, commercial finance, banking services, investment concepts, or financial solutions.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management abilities.
  • Proven ability to identify prospects, develop pipelines, close opportunities, and grow client relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand complex client requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales analytics, and business-development reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, or similar CRM platforms is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of KYC, AML, suitability, financial regulation, and compliance requirements is advantageous.
  • UAE or MENA financial-services and business-development experience is advantageous.
  • Existing relationships with corporate clients, financial institutions, investors, or professional intermediaries are advantageous.
  • Experience in banking, wealth management, asset management, insurance, payments, fintech, lending, or investment services is advantageous.
  • CFA, ACCA, CIMA, FRM, CAMS, or other relevant professional certifications are advantageous but not required.
