JOB DESCRIPTION – CLEANING SUPERVISOR

Department: Hygiene / Sanitation

Reports To: Food Safety Officer / Operations Manager

Location: Central Bakery & Kitchen

Job Purpose

To supervise the cleaning team and ensure that all production and supporting areas of the Central Bakery & Kitchen are kept clean, hygienic and ready for operation at all times.

Main Responsibilities

· Supervise the cleaning and pot-wash staff and assign their daily duties.

· Ensure all cleaning work is completed as per the daily, weekly and deep-cleaning schedules.

· Check the cleanliness of production areas, equipment, floors, drains, chillers, freezers, stores and wash areas.

· Make sure cleaning chemicals are used correctly and stored safely.

· Monitor the stock of cleaning chemicals, consumables and cleaning materials and arrange replenishment when required.

· Control the usage of cleaning materials and report any unusual or excessive consumption.

· Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in their designated areas.

· Ensure waste is removed regularly and waste areas are kept clean.

· Make sure the cleaning team follows personal hygiene, health and safety requirements.

· Maintain cleaning records, checklists and chemical usage records.

· Report any hygiene, pest, drainage, equipment or maintenance issues to the concerned department.

· Coordinate with Production, Food Safety and Maintenance teams for cleaning requirements.

· Guide and train cleaning staff on proper cleaning methods, chemical handling and safe use of equipment.

· Ensure proper cleaning is carried out before production starts and after production is completed.

· Carry out any other cleaning and hygiene-related duties assigned by management.

Qualification & Experience

· Minimum secondary school education.

· 2–3 years of cleaning experience, preferably in a bakery, central kitchen, food production facility or hotel.

· Previous experience in supervising a cleaning team is preferred.

· Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

· Familiar with health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.

· Familiar with commercial cleaning equipment and its safe operation.

· Basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning chemicals, consumables and cleaning materials.

· Able to manage staff and communicate effectively with other departments.

Pay: QAR300.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
