Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with professional expertise in teaching Hospital and Healthcare Management courses assessing student performance academic advising participating in administrative and committee activities as well as engaging in research professional service and community service

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Hospital and Healthcare Management Health Administration Public Health or a closely related field from an accredited university in the United States or a recognized institution accredited by an American accreditation body
  • Completed Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) at the time of recruitment from an internationally accredited university
  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the required field
  • Minimum of three (3) Scopus-indexed publications or five (5) peer-reviewed journal articles within the last five years
  • UAE Ministry of Education Equivalency is required
  • WES Equivalency (if the degree was not obtained from the USA)

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at an internationally accredited university
  • Proven record of teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Strong research background with at least 3 publications in the last 5 years
  • Professional or industry experience in healthcare settings is an added advantage

Skills / Training / Knowledge

  • Experience in curriculum development and academic program review
  • Strong research profile with peer-reviewed publications
  • Active research agenda and willingness to collaborate with faculty
  • Ability to integrate digital technologies and e-learning tools into teaching
  • Commitment to university service and academic excellence
  • Excellent English communication skills (mandatory)
  • Arabic language proficiency is an advantage

1. Instructional Delivery (Teaching Performance)

Deliver research-informed teaching using modern pedagogical approaches that encourage critical thinking engagement and practical application in healthcare management.

2. Instructional Management

Effectively plan organize and manage all instructional activities and course delivery.

3. Assessment and Evaluation

  • Assess and evaluate student performance fairly and transparently
  • Develop clear grading criteria aligned with course learning outcomes
  • Maintain academic integrity and objectivity in evaluation

4. Curriculum Development and Review

Contribute to continuous curriculum improvement to ensure:

  • Relevance to current healthcare industry practices
  • Academic rigor appropriate to program level
  • Progressive development of analytical and practical competencies

5. Research and Scholarship

Engage in scholarly research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals contributing to the universitys research mission.

6. Professional Development

Participate in academic and professional development activities including workshops seminars and certifications related to healthcare management and education.

7. Academic Advising and Student Success

Provide academic advising and mentorship supporting students in achieving learning outcomes and career goals in the healthcare sector.

8. Service

Actively contribute to university college and community service through committees accreditation processes outreach and professional engagement.
