Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.<br><br><strong>Role Overview<br><br></strong>The Senior SAP FICO AMS Consultant is a key member of the Syntax SAP AMS Center of Excellence, responsible for the functional design, optimization, and continuous improvement of Finance and Controlling processes across S/4HANA environments.<br><br>This role demands advanced expertise in Group Reporting and/or Product Costing, and core FICO modules, combined with experience supporting complex, multi‑entity global organizations — SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience an asset.<br><br>You will collaborate closely with technical teams, process owners, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality service delivery, stability, and continuous process innovation for Syntax customers.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Provide end‑to‑end functional support for SAP FICO areas within AMS, including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA).</li><li>Lead incident resolution, problem management, and small enhancement delivery aligned with AMS SLAs and best practices.</li><li>Design, configure, and optimize SAP FICO solutions, ensuring adherence to clean‑core standards within S/4HANA.</li><li>Work with integration teams (MM, PP, SD) to ensure FICO alignment across supply chain and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Deliver configuration changes, and functional specifications for enhancements and interfaces.</li><li>Collaborate with customers to identify continuous improvement opportunities and automation within FICO processes.</li><li>Assist in migrations, conversions, and release management for FICO‑related components.</li><li>Provide mentorship and functional guidance to junior AMS consultants.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills & Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>8–10 years of hands‑on SAP FICO experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations.</li><li>Bi-lingual, English/French.</li><li>Strong expertise in Group Reporting and/or Product Costing</li><li>Broad functional knowledge across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and COPA.</li><li>Experience supporting or implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private) FICO functionality preferred.</li><li>Experience with SAP CIM an asset.</li><li>Deep understanding of integration points between FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).</li><li>Proficiency in Fiori applications for Finance, and Universal Journal concepts.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent stakeholder communication skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance</li><li>Experience with AMS service delivery frameworks.</li><li>Public Cloud experience supporting Finance highly desirable.</li><li>An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Why Syntax?<br><br></strong>Become a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
