Position: Corporate Head Housekeeping Department

Location: Corporate Office, Chennai

Role Overview The Corporate Head Housekeeping will lead the strategic and operational management of housekeeping services across all hospitals within the group. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control while driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability across units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a group-wide housekeeping strategy aligned with organizational goals for operational excellence and patient experience.

  • Standardization: Create and ensure adherence to standardized housekeeping processes, SOPs, and protocols across all hospitals.

  • Innovation and Digital Transformation: Drive digital initiatives including automation, dashboards, and performance tracking tools to enhance housekeeping operations and transparency.

  • Quality and Compliance: Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control standards across all facilities; implement corrective measures to ensure compliance with hospital accreditation norms.

  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with unit housekeeping heads to ensure seamless communication and execution of group-wide initiatives.

  • Audit and Monitoring: Establish and lead internal audits for housekeeping and hygiene performance; ensure timely reporting and follow-up actions.

  • Performance Management: Develop and review KPIs including cleanliness index, turnaround time, manpower ratios, and cost-per-bed efficiency. Conduct monthly performance reviews and improvement plans.

  • Training and Development: Design and implement structured training programs for housekeeping staff and supervisors focusing on hospital hygiene, patient etiquette, waste segregation, and occupational safety.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Lead eco-friendly practices such as chemical optimization, waste reduction, and green cleaning programs to support sustainability goals.

  • Vendor and Partner Management: Oversee outsourced housekeeping partners through defined SLAs, regular performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Leadership and Engagement: Conduct monthly review meetings with unit housekeeping heads to track progress, share best practices, and align objectives across units.
