Data Analyst (Remote)

Job Title: Data Analyst (Remote)

Company: Connected Staff

ONLY CANDIDATE WITH EXPERIENCE AS AN DATA ANALYST WILL BE SELECTED

Job Description

The Role

We're looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to become the go-to source of truth for how the business is really performing. You'll dig into the numbers behind our growth, cash flow, staffing and daily operations, and turn them into clear, actionable insight that management can act on immediately. This is a role for someone who doesn't just build reports, but who understands what the numbers mean for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day and week-to-week visibility into how the business is trending — growth, revenue, cash flow, and operational performance.
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using Power BI/Tableau and SQL.
  • Monitor staffing levels, utilisation and productivity, flagging risks or inefficiencies early.
  • Analyse booking trends, customer behaviour, cancellations and demand patterns.
  • Forecast demand using historical and seasonal data.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical process improvements.
  • Track service levels, response times and core operational KPIs.
  • Partner directly with management, translating data into decisions rather than just charts.
  • Own data accuracy and continuously improve how we report and measure the business.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and business intelligence requests as priorities shift.
Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years' demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with the ability to interpret complex, messy datasets and present clear insight.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills — comfortable presenting findings to management.
  • Ability to work independently and stay accountable in a fully remote environment.

Desirable
  • Experience within transport, logistics, or the mobility/on-demand sector.
  • Experience with forecasting and predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience working with large, operational (rather than purely financial) datasets.
  • Exposure to booking or dispatch-style systems and the kind of operational data they generate.

What We Offer
  • Fully remote working, with flexible hours built around outcomes, not hours logged.
  • Competitive salary, reviewed against performance and impact.
  • Direct line of sight to leadership — your analysis will shape real business decisions, not sit in a drawer.
  • A growing, ambitious transport business where the role can expand as the company scales.
  • A supportive environment that invests in your tools and development (training budget / certifications considered).

How to Apply If you're passionate about using data to solve real business challenges and want to make a measurable impact, we'd love to hear from you.
