Database Officer
Role Description The Database Officer role is a part-time position based in Dubai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some tasks to be completed from home. The Database Officer will oversee data management activities, including maintaining databases, ensuring data accuracy, updating records, and implementing data governance standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring data quality, preparing regular data reports, supporting data analytics initiatives, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to address data-related queries. The role will also involve documenting data processes, assisting in the design of data workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement of data practices. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to confidentiality, and effective communication with cross-functional teams. Qualifications - Candidates should possess strong Data Governance and Data Management skills to maintain secure, accurate, and compliant databases. - Candidates should possess solid Data Analytics and Analytical Skills to interpret data, generate insights, and support decision-making. - Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and clearly present data findings. - Candidates should have proficiency with database tools or SQL, and familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is beneficial. - Candidates should demonstrate high attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a structured approach to documentation and process improvement. - A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in data management or analytics are an advantage. - Prior experience in a data-focused role within corporate or consulting environments is desirable but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates with strong foundational skills.
