Dental Insurance Coder/Coordinator cum Dental Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Insurance Coder/Coordinator cum Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for managing pre-approval request dealing with Thiqa, Daman, Nas & Neuron Company, insurance claims and doctors-coder coordination and should the need arise, once in a while can do back-up in assisting a dentist. This dual-role position requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Coordinator Duties:

  • Verify patients' dental insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Process pre-authorizations, insurance claims, and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve claim issues and maximize reimbursements.
  • Explain insurance coverage, treatment estimates, and payment options to patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient billing and insurance records.
  • Will work along with our coder team.

Dental Assistant Duties:

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Take dental radiographs (where licensed and permitted).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dental insurance coordination and chairside assisting preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance billing, and claim processing.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software - DOK32.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
