About the position

Aritzia is growing and our Digital Architecture team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for delivering everyday luxury experiences to Aritzia’s clients by leveraging technology to meet and exceed the vision and mission of the business. As the Senior Solution Architect / Solution Architect, Digital Architecture, you will support with the design, development, and implementation of Aritzia’s Digital Technology. You will partner cross-functionally with Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Omni, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and Creative to help deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality technology solutions. You will bring solution architecture expertise to a variety of digital product and platform initiatives, helping teams make thoughtful technical decisions that enable business outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Define and design the key success factors to guide successful digital product and platform initiatives
  • Build and evolve the overarching shared, reusable technical components that all Digital Technology teams depend on such as shared libraries, shared services, software development frameworks, and references
  • Reduce cognitive load and increase flow efficiency for Digital Technology teams, enabling a world-class developer experience through training, guides & playbooks, mentorship, code reviews, etc.
  • Flex into squads to resolve tricky technical challenges quickly including spike outcomes, decision records, decision management, risk assessments, and architecture review
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to effectively negotiate between business and technology functions

Requirements

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in technology architecture for a digital portfolio that includes web, mobile app and marketing tools
  • A willingness to learn the products within our enterprise platforms to build integrations (including Apigee X, Google Cloud Functions and SAP CPI Cloud Foundry)
  • A general understanding of modern programming languages
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
