Job description

This position will be responsible for managing the engineering team, setting technical direction, and ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company goals. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee all facility management, engineering, and maintenance operations across the hotel, waterpark, and beach club.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all building systems, attractions, and infrastructure.
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering and facility teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, health and safety requirements, environmental standards, brand guidelines, and statutory inspections.
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital expenditure budgets while driving cost optimization, sustainability, and energy management initiatives.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects, renovations, and facility enhancements with minimal disruption to guest operations.
  • Establish and monitor facility performance metrics, maintenance KPIs, asset lifecycle management, and service level agreements.
  • Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests, emergency breakdowns, and operational incidents while maintaining business continuity.
  • Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities and ensure assets are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, utility conservation programs, and environmental compliance to improve operational efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in engineering or facilities management, including 5 years in a senior leadership role within a luxury hotel, integrated resort, or waterpark.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel engineering systems, waterpark mechanical systems, water treatment, MEP services, life safety systems, and building automation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic facilities management, asset management, capital planning, and project delivery.
  • Proven expertise in budget management, financial planning, procurement, and contract/vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, regulatory compliance, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, people development, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple operational departments.
  • Experience working within luxury hospitality brands and large-scale leisure facilities is highly desirable.
