The Role

We are seeking an experienced Economic Development Manager to lead economic development strategies, investment initiatives, market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and growth programs. The ideal candidate will oversee economic research, development projects, public-private partnerships, investment attraction initiatives, and strategic planning while supporting sustainable economic growth and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement economic development strategies, growth frameworks, and strategic initiatives aligned with organizational and regional development objectives.

Conduct economic research, market analysis, feasibility studies, sector assessments, and investment opportunity evaluations to identify growth opportunities.

Lead economic development programs focused on investment attraction, business growth, innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

Collaborate with Government Relations, Strategy, Investment, Business Development, Research, Sustainability, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to deliver economic initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with government entities, investors, businesses, industry associations, academic institutions, economic organizations, and strategic partners.

Identify emerging industries, market trends, investment opportunities, competitive landscapes, and economic growth drivers.

Develop business cases, economic impact assessments, strategic reports, policy recommendations, and investment proposals.

Support public-private partnerships (PPPs), economic diversification initiatives, regional development programs, and strategic investment projects.

Manage stakeholder engagement activities, economic forums, industry events, workshops, and partnership development initiatives.

Evaluate economic programs through performance measurement, impact analysis, benchmarking, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including investment growth, economic impact, job creation, business attraction, stakeholder engagement, program performance, project delivery, and strategic objective achievement.

Conduct economic assessments, policy reviews, market intelligence studies, benchmarking analyses, risk evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with UAE economic development regulations, government policies, investment frameworks, sustainability requirements, and organizational governance standards.

Manage economic development budgets, research partners, consulting firms, investment platforms, analytical tools, and strategic development initiatives.

Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered economic forecasting, predictive market analytics, investment intelligence, automated research, data visualization, and business intelligence solutions.

Utilize Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SQL, Bloomberg, Statista, economic databases, Microsoft 365, GIS platforms, ERP systems, research tools, and analytics technologies to generate insights and support strategic decision-making.

Prepare executive dashboards, economic impact reports, investment analyses, policy briefs, market assessments, strategic recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership.

Lead, mentor, and develop economic analysts, research specialists, development coordinators, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, Finance, International Development, Urban Planning, Political Economy, or a related field.

Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration (MBA), Development Studies, Finance, International Relations, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.

Professional certifications in Economic Development, Public Policy, Investment Analysis, Project Management Professional (PMP), Data Analytics, or equivalent are preferred.
