About Almarai and the Engineering Manager Role Almarai, the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy and the MENA region’s largest food and beverage manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking an Engineering Manager (Refrigeration). This full-time position is based in King Abdullah Economic City and Rabigh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on leading the operation, maintenance, and reliability of large-scale ammonia refrigeration plants and utility systems that support food manufacturing and cold storage operations. Role Overview The Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant performance within Almarai's operations. This includes driving engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across critical refrigeration and utility infrastructure. The role requires a leader with extensive experience in industrial refrigeration systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the maintenance and reliability of ammonia refrigeration and utility systems. Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with HSE, Process Safety Management (PSM), and food industry safety standards. Drive plant uptime, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability improvements. Manage engineering budgets, CAPEX projects, contractors, and spare parts inventory. Lead and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Utilize SAP/CMMS systems for maintenance planning and reporting. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, dairy, seafood, or poultry processing environments. Strong experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, cold stores, and utility equipment. Proven leadership experience managing multi-skilled maintenance teams. Knowledge of SAP PM, Reliability Engineering, and Process Safety Management is preferred.
