Responsibilities

  • Own direct sales cycles and deploy sales objectives through prospecting and pipeline management across a national book of public-sector entities
  • Run RFP-driven pursuits end to end, including procurement compliance, consultant management, and finalist presentations
  • Maintain market knowledge and competitor intelligence to communicate Garner's value proposition
  • Develop strategic relationships with public-sector benefits consultants and benefits directors to influence buying decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of deep sales experience focused on health benefits (medical, ancillary, or vendor) via brokers, consultants, and insurers
  • 5+ years of experience selling into public-sector entities preferred
  • Deep fluency in public procurement mechanics, including RFP cycles and board dynamics
  • Existing relationships within the public-sector consultant ecosystem (e.g., Segal, Aon, WTW, Mercer, Gallagher)
  • 3+ years of experience selling to large Enterprise clients
  • Strong data literacy to turn complex datasets into actionable insights
  • Proven experience developing sales playbooks, KPIs, and collateral
