Responsibilities
- Own Kaizen's events strategy end-to-end, including the annual calendar anchored to the federal buying year
- Evaluate conferences and sponsorships, negotiating levels and booth placement
- Manage physical presence including booth design, demo staging, and collateral
- Run field motion alongside sales, including account targeting and pre-event outreach
- Execute satellite programs such as executive dinners, agency roundtables, and closed-door briefings
- Secure speaker placements and panel submissions for Kaizen leadership
- Scope and build Kaizen-hosted events like summits or recurring briefings
- Manage the events budget and report on metrics tied to pipeline and qualified meetings
- Ensure compliance with federal ethics rules regarding gifts and hospitality
Requirements
- 5-15 years in events, experiential marketing, or field marketing
- Direct ownership of strategy and budget experience
- Proven track record of owning a conference circuit
- Experience building an events program from the ground up
- Experience partnering with sales teams to drive pipeline
- Experience producing owned events like dinners and summits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with high autonomy in fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience running events for federal or public sector buyers
- Existing relationships with Washington venues and producers
- Familiarity with AI tools in daily workflows
