Fabric and Trim Merchandiser

Creative Platform is a full-service garment manufacturing and B2B fashion consultancy based in Dubai. We work with fashion brands and designers on small-MOQ, high-quality production, offering end-to-end services across Production and Design Development.

Role Overview:
We're looking for a detail-oriented Fabric and Trim Merchandiser to manage the sourcing, tracking, and coordination of fabrics and trims across our client development and production pipeline. This role sits within our Design Development track and works closely with our Design and Merchandising teams to ensure materials are sourced accurately, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source fabrics and trims from local and international suppliers based on design and client requirements
  • Request, track, and organize fabric/trim swatches for client and internal approval
  • Maintain accurate records of material costs, MOQs, lead times, and supplier details
  • Coordinate with suppliers on pricing negotiations, order placement, and delivery timelines
  • Liaise with the development team to ensure BOMs (Bill of Materials) are accurate and complete
  • Track fabric/trim status through the sampling and production stages, flagging delays proactively
  • Maintain a fabric and trim library/database for reference across projects
  • Ensure all sourced materials meet quality standards and client specifications
  • Support the Merchandiser and Production team with material availability updates for order planning
  • Manage supplier relationships and identify new sourcing options to expand our material base

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in fabric/trim sourcing or merchandising, ideally in garment manufacturing or fashion production.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric types, trims, and garment construction
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with BOMs and costing sheets preferred
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE

Preferred:

  • Experience working with international fabric suppliers (Asia/Europe)
  • Familiarity with small-MOQ or made-to-order production models
  • Background in fashion design, textiles, or merchandising

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
