Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong hospitality background to oversee financial operations for our hotel located in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of UAE experience in hotel finance, strong knowledge of accounting practices, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.

Candidates with Arabic language skills will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations of the hotel.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate accounting records and compliance with UAE financial regulations.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Control hotel operating costs and improve financial efficiency.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Review and approve financial transactions and payments.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with hotel departments to improve cost management and profitability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in financial management.
  • Strong hospitality/hotel industry background is mandatory.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel accounting operations and financial controls.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage financial operations effectively.
  • Arabic speaking skills will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience as Financial Controller / Chief Accountant / Finance Manager in a hotel.
  • Experience working with international hotel brands is preferred.
  • Candidates currently available in UAE are preferred.
