Freelance Dance Teacher (Artemex - Local Hire only)
Role
Artemex is seeking a qualified and experienced Dance Teacher to deliver high-quality sessions across various venues within the Artemis community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a key role in developing engaging, inclusive, and dynamic dance experiences for students of all abilities.
We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual who can contribute positively to our expanding programme offering.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging dance sessions for students across a range of ages and abilities
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Adapt sessions to suit varying skill levels and programme requirements
Support performances, showcases, and events where required
Ensure all sessions align with Artemex quality standards and safeguarding requirements

Maintain professional communication and relationships with students, parents, and school employees where required
Requirements
Relevant dance teaching qualification with over 2 years of experience in the teaching industry
Experience working with children in a school or community setting
Experience delivering multiple dance styles (e.g., ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, musical theatre, and drama)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to deliver structured, engaging, and energetic sessions

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection best practices
Desirable
RAD certified with experience delivering syllabus requirements and entering students for examinations
Working Hours
Part-time, flexible hours based on programme schedules (primarily after-school and/or weekends).
