Freelance Design Strategist

Freelance Design Strategist / Graphic Designer Location: Dubai, UAE (Freelance - Project Based) We're partnering with a leading experience design agency in Dubai to find a Freelance Design Strategist / Graphic Designer to support the delivery of high-profile projects across luxury, hospitality, large-scale events and premium private functions. This is not a traditional graphic design role. We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional visual design skills, creating the creative direction, mood, and overall look and feel of immersive experiences from concept through to presentation. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating large-scale design work across live events, hospitality, exhibitions, luxury brands, cultural experiences or premium private events. Key Responsibilities - Develop creative concepts, visual narratives and design directions from client briefs. - Create compelling pitch decks, mood boards and visual presentations that communicate the overall vision and atmosphere of each project. - Design the visual identity and creative direction for large-scale events, hospitality experiences, exhibitions and luxury activations. - Produce high-quality presentation materials that bring concepts to life for internal teams and clients. - Collaborate closely with creative teams to shape guest journeys and immersive experiences. - Translate strategic ideas into engaging visual storytelling across both digital and physical environments. - Ensure all creative work reflects the highest standards of design, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Requirements - Proven experience as a Design Strategist, Graphic Designer, Experience Designer or similar creative role. - A strong portfolio showcasing large-scale design projects across events, hospitality, luxury brands, exhibitions, experiential marketing or premium private functions. - Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. - Proven experience creating client pitch decks, concept presentations, mood boards and visual storytelling assets. - Strong understanding of layout, typography, composition, branding and visual communication. - Ability to take a project from initial brief through to concept development and polished presentation. - Experience working within fast-paced creative agencies, experience design studios or event environments. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to present creative ideas confidently. - Dubai-based and available to work on a freelance/project basis. Preferred Experience - Experience designing for experiential agencies, luxury hospitality brands, exhibitions, museums or large-scale live events. - Knowledge of spatial design, environmental graphics or immersive experience design would be highly advantageous. - Experience working on projects across the UAE or GCC market.
