Role Description This is a part-time, remote Freelance Therapist | Psychologist role based in Qatar, providing online counseling and psychological support to clients through TherapyMantra’s platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and, where appropriate, couples or family therapy sessions via secure video and chat, performing psychological assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based modalities.

The professional will document sessions accurately, maintain client confidentiality, and comply with ethical and regulatory standards applicable in Qatar. They will collaborate with the broader clinical network when needed, provide crisis support within scope of practice, and encourage client engagement with digital self-help tools and mental wellness resources.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches in diverse clinical situations.
  • Clinical skills in Counseling and Psychological Assessment, including intake evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Relevant academic background in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, or a related mental health discipline.
  • Valid license, registration, or certification to practice as a therapist, psychologist, or counselor in Qatar (or eligibility to obtain such recognition).
  • Demonstrated experience providing online therapy or telehealth services, with comfort using digital platforms and maintaining professional boundaries in virtual settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a client-centered, culturally sensitive approach suitable for diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a flexible part-time caseload, and maintain high standards of documentation, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other regional languages is a strong advantage.
