The Front Desk Agent serves as a central point of contact for guests throughout their stay handling arrivals departures account transactions inquiries and service requests with professionalism and accuracy The position supports smooth hotel operations by maintaining reliable guest records balancing cash transactions coordinating requests and ensuring service standards are consistently followed Strong performance in this role contributes to efficient reception operations quicker resolution of guest concerns accurate financial handling and a positive impression of the hotel from arrival through departure strong Key Responsibilities strong Welcome guests in a professional friendly and engaging manner Complete guest check-in procedures accurately and efficiently Process departures and settle guest accounts according to hotel procedures Verify account details before completing payment and checkout transactions Maintain accurate records of daily front desk transactions Handle cash payments carefully and follow established cash control procedures Process currency exchange transactions where authorized Maintain and balance the assigned cash float at the end of the shift Respond promptly to guest questions requests and service requirements Resolve routine guest concerns professionally and escalate complex matters when appropriate Provide clear information regarding hotel facilities services and relevant procedures Maintain a customer-focused approach during both routine and high-demand periods Coordinate with other hotel departments when guest requests require additional operational support Keep front desk records and transaction documentation accurate and organized Use hotel computer systems and related front office applications for daily operational tasks Maintain confidentiality when handling guest details payment information and hotel records Follow department policies operating procedures and established service standards Support a professional and cooperative working environment within the front office team Communicate clearly with colleagues during shift changes to ensure continuity of guest service Maintain a professional appearance and courteous manner throughout the shift Apply strong attention to detail when reviewing reservations accounts payments and guest information Use practical problem-solving skills to address unexpected guest or operational situations Perform additional front office duties assigned by management when required Maintain consistently high standards of internal and external customer service The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar front desk, reception, or guest services role within the hotel industry.
