Head of Sales Operations Sales Distributed

A Snapshot of Your Day The Head of Sales Operations builds and runs the shared commercial infrastructure that enables RS1 and RS2 to sell proactively and bid competitively on a scale. The role owns centralized technical intelligence (ETI) and bid management for both advanced/strategic projects and open market opportunities — providing the technical and tendering backbone that turns the SD go-to-market strategy into consistent, high-quality commercial execution across every country. The role works in close, daily coordination with the SD PMO (which reports directly to the Head of SD) but does not own portfolio reporting or program governance itself.

How You’ll Make an Impact Build and run ETI as a federated hub-and-spoke function supporting RS1 and RS2 bids with consistent technical intelligence.

Finalize and operate the OPS–CTS RACI, defining clear decision authority between central ETI and country-level teams.

Ensure technical intelligence inputs are available early enough in the bid cycle to support value-selling and bundling, not just late-stage compliance.

Own Advanced Projects Bid Management for strategic, high-complexity, and long-term project pursuits.

Own Open Market Bid Management Governance, including oversight of the dedicated open market bid manager assigned to each regional country.

Embed application engineers as a quality gate in the tendering process, addressing systemic RFQ technical compliance.

Standardize bid governance and escalation paths across RS1 and RS2 so both territories operate to one quality bar.

Feed timely, accurate bid and technical-intelligence data to the SD PMO for consolidated OE, pipeline, and slip-register reporting.

Partner with Sales Application Support in PCC on tendering quality root causes and remediation.

Support RS1 and RS2 account teams directly on complex or contested bids where technical intelligence is decisive.
