Role Description The Health Safety Environment Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations, as well as preparing reports and maintaining compliance documentation. The coordinator develops and delivers safety training programs, promotes a safety-focused culture among staff, and collaborates with management to improve HSE performance. The role also involves coordinating with external regulatory bodies when required and supporting continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, including risk assessment and incident prevention.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise, with the ability to manage environmental compliance and HSE standards.
- Candidates should possess Occupational Health knowledge, particularly in assessing workplace health risks and promoting worker well-being.
- Candidates should possess Safety Training experience, including developing training materials and delivering sessions to diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Experience in coordinating HSE activities in recruitment, construction, logistics, or related sectors is an advantage.
- Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing regulatory and operational requirements.
