You will move heavy materials across the site while following strict handling standards.</p> <p><!-- Page Banner Section --></p> <section></section> <p><!-- Job Details Section --></p> <section> <div> <div> <p>Perform loading and unloading of goods operations using normal and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA), forklift trucks and pallet trucks to support the efficient movement and stacking of materials, equipment and products in the warehouse or within the boundaries of the premises.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <p><strong>Policies, Processes and Procedures<br /> </strong>• Implement all Standard Operating Procedures and processes</p> <p><strong>Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)<br /> </strong>• Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines</p> <p><strong>Housekeeping<br /> </strong>• Implement 5S principles related to storage, picking, packing of accessories and general housekeeping to keep the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after operations</p> <p><strong>Innovation and Continuous Improvement<br /> </strong>• Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement</p> <p><strong>Forklift Operations<br /> </strong>• Operate the normal and Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Forklift Trucks, pallet truck or a material handling device in the warehouse such as receiving, storing recording, retrieving, transporting and dispatching goods safely and working within Standard Operating Procedures to meet operational requirements<br /> • Stack storage equipment in designated areas and dispose of scrap e.g. waste materials, packing, etc. properly<br /> • Communicate with the Supervisor and Operators to handle unusual loads and notify them of any problems to seek quick resolution</p> <p><strong>Forklift Maintenance<br /> </strong>• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or similar material handling vehicles and devices to ensure that routine maintenance checks and schedules are complied with<br /> • Inform Supervisor about repairs beyond the capability of Forklift Operators so that corrective action can be initiated<br /> • Maintain records of routine checks on forklift trucks to ensure planned maintenance checks are carried out</p> <p><strong>Loading of Trucks and Shipment of Products<br /> </strong>• Move products from storage areas onto trucks in collaboration with the Transport dispatchers when shipping or receiving goods<br /> • Prepare products for shipment to ensure the exact number and type of product is loaded for dispatch</p> <p><strong>SAP System<br /> </strong>• Prepare reports for production to monitor raw materials close to expiry dates, using the SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module to avoid expiry of raw materials</p> <p><strong>Reports<br /> </strong>• Provide input for the preparation of method statements and initiate any near-miss reports<br /> • Prepare various quality checklists for management to support quality programs</p> <h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Essential</strong>: Secondary School Certificate with a valid driving licence to operate both heavy and light duty forklift trucks</li> <li>Expert knowledge of standard operating procedures and skills in use of loading and transportation vehicles, equipment and devices</li> <li><strong>Desirable</strong> : Knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module</li> <li><strong>Job Skills</strong>: Forklift operational skills, basic literacy in English to be able to read labels on goods and packing lists and organised and methodical thinking for stacking of goods</li> <li><strong>Behavioural Competencies</strong>: Systematic, transparency, integrity, professionalism, caring & supportive style, passion for excellence, change management orientation</li> <li><strong>Experience</strong>: 2 or more years of relevant forklift and warehouse operation experience within a large manufacturing plant, preferably in the cable industry</li> </ul> </div> </div> <p><!-- Apply Now Button --></p> </section> <p>Explore more <a href="https://classifiedjobs.ae/job-category/logistics-supply-chain/">Logistics jobs</a> or browse all roles in <a href="https://classifiedjobs.ae/job-region/dubai/">Dubai</a>.</p> <h2>About Ducab Group in the UAE</h2> <p>Ducab Group is one of the UAE’s leading cable and wire manufacturers, based in Dubai.
