About the role

Intercountry-ICB Philippines Inc. is currently hiring both Full-time and Part-time Home-based English Language Teachers to join its dynamic team. While the position is open to candidates based anywhere in the Philippines, the company is headquartered in Cebu City, Central Visayas. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected leader in education and training services. As part of the team, you'll play a key role in helping students improve their English communication skills, contributing to their academic and professional growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering engaging and effective English language lessons to learners, either one-on-one or in small group settings (online-based).
  • Teaching materials are readily provided, ensuring structure and support. However, teachers have the flexibility to lead Conversation and Open Step sessions, tailoring lessons to each student's specific needs and learning goals.
  • Providing regular learner feedback and progress updates.
  • Collaborating with the wider teaching team to share best practices and continuously improve the quality of the learning experience.
  • Adhering to the company's policies, procedures & teaching standards to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or any related field is an advantage but not a must.
  • Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)or English as a Foreign Language. Specialization or experience in Business English is highly preferred
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Creativity and adaptability in designing lesson plans and teaching materials
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their language learning goals

Requirements & Must-Know Information

Technical Requirements:
  • 💻 Stable internet connection with a minimum 50 Mbps download and upload speed
  • 🎧 Headset with noise-cancellation feature
  • 🖥️ Computer specifications:
Laptop: Intel Core i5 or higher Desktop PC: Intel Core i3 or higher

Work Schedule & Commitment:

  • 🕒 Minimum of 5 working hours or at least 4 teaching slots per shift
  • 🗓️ Regular working hours fall between 7:15 AM and 10:00 PM (Paris / Madrid time), adjusted for Daylight Saving Time (DST) and Winter Time (WT)
  • 📅 Workdays: Monday to Friday only — Weekends OFF
  • We currently prioritize candidates who can work between 12:15 and 20:30 Paris/Madrid Time
Compensation:
  • 💰 Starting rate: Php 203 per hour
Full training in our methodology is provided, ideally for one (1) month with a training allowance. Our intercountry clients are from France and Spain. Therefore, knowledge of the French and Spanish languages, as well as a cultural background, can be helpful but is not essential.
