Part-Time HTML5 Web Development Intern
We are seeking a motivated HTML5 Web Development Intern to assist with converting an existing live website into a clean, custom-coded HTML5 website.
This is a part-time position that can be performed remotely. The right candidate should have experience working with front-end website code and be comfortable recreating an existing website without relying on page builders, React, WordPress themes, or unnecessary third-party frameworks.
Responsibilities
Convert an existing live website into clean, custom HTML5 code
Rebuild approximately 20 website pages while maintaining the current design and content
Write organized, responsive HTML5 and CSS
Add or recreate necessary JavaScript functionality
Ensure the website works properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Optimize the website for speed, usability, and search engines
Maintain proper page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, canonical tags, and internal links
Test forms, navigation, buttons, image galleries, and other website features
Keep the code organized and easy for another developer to understand and maintain
Required Skills
Strong understanding of semantic HTML5
Proficiency in custom CSS
Working knowledge of JavaScript
Ability to recreate a website from an existing live design
Understanding of responsive website development
Familiarity with basic technical SEO best practices
Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Experience with PHP, website forms, Git, accessibility standards, page-speed optimization, or converting React/Vite websites into traditional HTML5 is a plus.

Location: Remote or local
Schedule: Flexible part-time hours
Pay: $19–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Project: Convert an existing live website into a clean, custom-coded HTML5 website
