JOB PURPOSE:

The Digital Pharmacist is a healthcare professional who uses technology to provide patients with convenient, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy services. And act as Virtual Ward Pharmacist. This role involves working remotely with patients and healthcare providers via digital tools, as well as utilizing electronic medical records, Delivery systems and prescription management systems to optimize medication therapy and monitor patient health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Coordinate and process medical insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies and insurance provider requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth communication and resolution of insurance-related queries.
  • Review patient insurance coverage, verify eligibility, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for medical procedures and treatments.
  • Monitor and track the status of submitted claims, following up with insurance companies to expedite approvals and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of insurance claims, denials, approvals, and patient billing information in the hospital’s electronic health record system.
  • Educate patients and families on insurance benefits, coverage limitations, and out-of-pocket expenses to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with medical, administrative, and billing teams to streamline insurance processes and improve overall patient experience.
  • Analyze claim denials and rejections, prepare appeals, and resubmit claims as necessary to maximize reimbursement.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, policies, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Generate regular reports on insurance claim status, reimbursement rates, and outstanding issues for management review.
Education /Qualiffication Requirements :
  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or medical equivalent. 
  • Candidate must have their own laptop for this role.
  • This is a remote / work-from-home position.
  • A strong and stable internet connection is required.
  • Candidate must be willing to work according to the UAE time zone.
  • Immediate joiners are preferred.
