International Consultant - Gender Equality Scorecard Assessment (Tunisia)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Inter-Agency Assessment Team (IAAT) for the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard assessment in Tunisia
  • Conduct desk reviews of relevant UNCT documents, including CCA, UNSDCF, and joint planning documents
  • Support data collection and evidence gathering to rate performance indicators
  • Contribute to gender analysis of verification documents and provide technical support for stakeholder working sessions
  • Adapt and complete the rating matrix based on inter-agency discussions
  • Draft the comprehensive UNCT-SWAP narrative report and an accompanying Action Plan
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Gender Theme Group and UNCT members for validation

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social sciences, political sciences, human rights, or gender equality (or a Bachelor's with 2 additional years of experience)
  • At least 5 years of work experience in mainstreaming gender in international development
  • Proven experience in gender data collection and analysis (interviews, surveys, focus groups)
  • Proficiency in English and French
  • Strong research, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree
  • Experience working with the United Nations on gender equality issues
  • Previous experience with the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard or related reporting frameworks
  • Experience in results-based management, review, or evaluation processes
  • Experience conducting gender training for development agency staff
  • Knowledge of Arabic
