IT Security Analys
Role Description The IT Security Analyst role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The IT Security Analyst will monitor security systems and alerts, analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities, and support incident detection, investigation, and reporting. The role involves assisting in the implementation of security controls, maintaining documentation of security policies and procedures, and collaborating with IT teams to strengthen overall security posture. The analyst will help perform regular risk assessments, support compliance with relevant security standards, and contribute to user awareness activities on secure practices. Qualifications - Candidates should possess skills in monitoring security tools, analyzing logs, and identifying potential threats across IT environments. - Candidates should possess skills in vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and recommending appropriate security controls or remediation steps. - Candidates should possess skills in incident response, including documenting events, supporting investigations, and assisting with post-incident reviews. - Candidates should possess skills in applying information security best practices, understanding network and system security concepts, and supporting compliance with security standards. - Relevant skills such as familiarity with SIEM platforms, basic scripting or automation, and secure configuration of common operating systems and applications are beneficial. - A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred. - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills are required. - Experience working in multicultural or international environments and an interest in humanitarian or development work are advantageous.
