Junior Management Accountant

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Junior Management Accountant to be based in our Dubai office. Main responsibilities within the Junior Management Accountant position include: Month-End ReportingPrepare and post monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, and bonus provisionsEnsure accurate and timely completion of the month-end close following a set timetableAnalyse month-on-month and year-to-date variances with meaningful commentaryComplete balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate back-up and explanationsCompile monthly reporting for submission to Group FinanceRespond to finance queries from management, Group, and the wider businessCoordinate with overseas offices to agree intercompany balances and resolve discrepanciesFinancial Accounting & ControlsMaintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with group policiesMonitor accounting standards and assess their impact on local reportingAssist with audit queries and ensure documentation is readily availableCash & Payment ManagementPrepare daily bank reconciliations and report cash positions to managementProcess supplier invoices and payments in line with approval and audit controlsEnsure timely invoice posting and resolution of payment queriesManage monthly payroll and staff expense claims processing in a timely mannerKey skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:Solid understanding of IFRS and its practical applicationExperience in statutory accounts preparationVAT knowledge Previous experience in the financial services sectorStrong proficiency in financial systems and reporting toolsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworkingDemonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality workExcellent organisational and time management skillsCapable of assessing, designing, and implementing new processesThrives under pressure and adapts well to changeStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues and reconcile discrepanciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTradition do not accept agency CV's.
