Kitchen Equipment Technician

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our production team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production machinery used in ice cream and baking supplies manufacturing. This position ensures operational efficiency, product quality and compliance with UAE food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance – Conduct scheduled maintenance on mixers, freezers, ovens, packaging machines and refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs – Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues promptly.
  • Production Support – Assist with equipment setup, calibration and changeovers to meet production targets.
  • Safety & Compliance – Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HACCP, GMP and UAE regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation – Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, spare parts usage and equipment performance.
  • Continuous Improvement – Contribute to process optimization and equipment reliability initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or FMCG maintenance.
  • Proficiency in refrigeration systems, pneumatics and hydraulics, PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in dairy, ice cream, or baking ingredient production.
  • Knowledge of food‑grade lubrication, sanitation procedures, and TPM/Lean practices.
  • Familiarity with UAE food manufacturing standards and safety protocols.

License

  • Must possess a valid UAE Manual/Automatic Driving License (essential for field service operations).
