Job Summary

TiccMed Laboratory is seeking a highly organized and experienced Lab Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our clinical laboratory in Doha. The successful candidate will supervise laboratory personnel, ensure accurate and timely testing, maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the clinical laboratory to ensure efficient workflow and accurate test results.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate laboratory technologists, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ensure laboratory testing is performed in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs to maintain the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Oversee specimen collection, processing, storage, and disposal in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations, infection control policies, and laboratory safety standards.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment by coordinating preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Manage inventory of laboratory reagents, consumables, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Review and validate laboratory reports before release, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports, quality metrics, and regulatory documentation for management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and other departments to support patient care and diagnostic services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
  • Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure with the Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and laboratory quality management systems.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and laboratory automation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory documentation systems.
