The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lean Manager to lead Lean transformation and continuous-improvement initiatives across the organization.The successful candidate will establish Lean operating principles, lead value-stream improvement programs, identify and eliminate waste, optimize workflows, facilitate Kaizen activities, develop Lean capabilities, and ensure improvements are sustained through standard work, visual management, performance systems, and effective process controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organization's Lean transformation function.
- Develop and implement a Lean strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish an enterprise-wide Lean operating framework.
- Develop annual Lean transformation priorities and improvement roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, flow, cost, service, and customer experience.
- Partner with senior management to identify high-impact Lean opportunities.
- Assess operational processes and identify sources of waste and inefficiency.
- Establish Lean standards, methodologies, tools, and governance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement.
- Lead Lean transformation programs across business functions.
- Conduct current-state assessments of operational processes.
- Develop future-state operating models and process designs.
- Map end-to-end value streams.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops.
- Identify process bottlenecks, constraints, delays, excessive inventory, unnecessary movement, rework, and non-value-added activities.
- Develop value-stream improvement plans.
- Establish future-state value-stream maps and implementation roadmaps.
- Analyze process flow from customer demand through delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve flow, pull, takt time, throughput, and lead time.
- Optimize handoffs between departments and functions.
- Reduce unnecessary approvals, queues, transfers, and administrative activities.
- Eliminate process duplication and non-value-added work.
- Lead Kaizen events and rapid-improvement workshops.
- Plan and facilitate Kaizen activities.
- Define improvement objectives, scope, participants, timelines, and expected benefits.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions.
- Implement rapid improvement actions where appropriate.
- Track Kaizen results and benefits.
- Ensure improvements are standardized and sustained after implementation.
- Identify and eliminate the eight forms of Lean waste where applicable.
- Address defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, motion, and overprocessing.
- Quantify waste and its financial or operational impact.
- Develop targeted waste-reduction initiatives.
- Establish waste-identification and reporting mechanisms.
- Improve workplace organization using 5S principles.
- Lead 5S assessments and improvement programs.
- Establish standards for Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
- Develop visual controls and workplace-management standards.
- Monitor 5S compliance and maturity.
- Train employees and managers in Lean workplace practices.
- Implement visual management systems.
- Develop visual boards, dashboards, performance indicators, escalation systems, and daily-management routines.
- Establish visual controls for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

- Establish daily huddles, tiered meetings, escalation routines, and structured problem-solving processes.
- Develop management routines that enable rapid identification and resolution of operational issues.

- Ensure employees are trained and competent in standardized processes.

- Identify supplier-related waste and process inefficiencies.
- Improve supplier quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness.
- Apply Lean principles to procurement and purchasing processes.
- Reduce purchasing cycle times and unnecessary administrative activities.
- Improve demand-planning and inventory-management processes.
- Apply Lean principles to administrative and transactional processes.
- Conduct Lean Office assessments.
- Improve workflows across Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and other support functions.
- Eliminate unnecessary paperwork, approvals, waiting, duplication, and manual processing.
- Improve process automation opportunities.
- Reduce administrative cycle times.
- Improve information flow and decision-making.
- Lead digital Lean initiatives.
- Identify processes suitable for workflow automation, self-service, digitization, or system integration.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading Lean transformation and continuous-improvement programs.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with Value Stream Mapping and process analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, standard work, visual management, Kanban, pull systems, and waste elimination.
- Experience identifying and eliminating process bottlenecks and non-value-added activities.
- Strong understanding of takt time, cycle time, throughput, flow, capacity, and process balancing.
- Experience implementing Lean Office or transactional-process improvements is advantageous.

- Knowledge of UAE/GCC business environments is advantageous.
- Arabic language proficiency is advantageous.
