Key Accountabilities and Outputs Maintenance planning and scheduling (preventative, corrective and predictive) Plant maintenance module relevant to CMMS Equipment master data management Job card creation and resource coordination Parts, tools and resource availability planning Maintenance performance reporting and continuous improvement Communication and stakeholder coordination Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Planning Develop, schedule, and optimize PM tasks in line with OEM standards and internal best practices Plan and schedule inspections, lubrication calibration, and condition-based tasks to ensure equipment reliability Ensure that preventative plans are reviewed and updated periodically based on equipment performance Maintenance Work Management & Scheduling Convert maintenance notifications into work orders with clear scope, required materials, and labour estimates Schedule daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance plans in coordination with the production and maintenance teams Allocate tasks based on artisan availability and skill set, ensuring minimal disruption to operations Resource & Material Coordination Ensure all materials, tools, and spare parts are available before scheduled maintenance begins Collaborate with engineering stores and technical administrator to expedite procurement or issue parts Track consumption of critical spares and maintain minimum stock levels through system updates Ensure procured materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient Ensure critical parts are available to minimize downtime. Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies. Maintenance System Administration & Data Integrity Ensure accurate entry and update of technical object data task list, and maintenance history in the CMMS Manage maintenance master data integrity and structure (equipment task group, maintenance plans) Generate and distribute reports on work order backlog. PM compliance, and overdue tasks Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement Adhere to SHEQ requirements when planning and coordinating maintenance activities Ensure maintenance activities comply with local safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA). Support root cause (RCA) and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives through historical data and KPIs Contribute to assess care strategies and reliability improvement projects by providing maintenance insights Promote a safety-first culture among maintenance staff. Maintain records for audits and inspections. Team Leadership and Support Manage documentation, maintain records, and work ordering processing. Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanical staff. Provide training and development to ensure team skill levels remain high. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations. Building strong relationships with maintenance teams, production, stores, and engineering stakeholders. General Operational and Financial Management Develop and manage maintenance budgets. Track and control maintenance expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvement. Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls. Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes Effectively track production volumes and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends Problem Solving Proactive identification of functional problems related to a specific process or policy, determine cause and impact, and choose the best alternative to solve the problem based on guidelines provided and an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning the problem.
