Manager – Audit And Assurance

As a manager – audit & assurance at Alkazim

You will independently manage a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements while leading and developing the audit team. You will be responsible for planning, executing and completing assignments across a range of industries, ensuring quality delivery, regulatory compliance and strong client relationships.

This role is designed to take ownership of day-to-day engagement management, allowing partners to focus on strategic oversight and final sign-off. It is suited to a commercially minded audit professional who thrives in a growing SME firm environment and is seeking a clear path toward director and partner.

Key responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a portfolio of audit and assurance clients
  • Plan and execute statutory audits, interim audits, escrow audits, JOP audits and service charge audits
  • Review working papers and ensure audit files are complete prior to partner review
  • Identify engagement risks and ensure appropriate audit procedures are performed
  • Manage timelines, budgets and resource allocation across multiple assignments
  • Supervise and mentor audit associates and seniors
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and manage expectations
  • Resolve routine technical matters and escalate complex issues where required
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with international standards on auditing and UAE regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of audit methodology and internal processes

Qualifications & requirements:

  • ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 5–7 years of audit experience
  • Proven experience managing audit engagements independently
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and international standards on auditing
  • Experience with UAE mainland and free zone audits
  • Prior exposure to escrow, service charge or similar assurance assignments preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop junior team members
  • Commercial mindset with strong client management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
