Job Purposednata Airport Operations’ vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub that is Dubai International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passenger and 140 scheduled airlines annually.As a Manager Commercial & Business Development, you will manage and increase dnata Cargo Commercial Ground Handling and GSSA Business Units Revenue & Sales including Product developments & Operations. You will also manage Operations of the BU, whilst ensuring that the departmental strategic business objectives are achieved. This includes achievement of market share and revenue target contribution for the customer base.In this role you willDevelop the dnata cargo business strategy (3-5) years for dnata cargo commercial GHA and GSAs (Airline), whilst ensuring maximum profitability and productivity Develop and ensure implementation of dnata cargo policies, procedures and controls to ensure procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled Develop new products to sustain business growth, identify new opportunities & market segmentation focused on future growth Prepare and recommend departments budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget Seek improvements in business processes, systems and technology to ensure that business targets are achieved in the most productive mannerManage operations of the Commercial Key Accounts, & GSSA in the UAE and GHA/GSSA Contracts, Billing, Tenants, Budgets, Forecasting, and Market intelligence to ensure that the sales targets are met for the Business units Manage the business analysis and reporting function to ensure that results are effectively tracked, and proactive action is taken to respond to varying market requirements Manage the cost/revenue relationships ensuring profitability of the airline/integrator/ agents contracts in Dubai to ensure alignment with the defined costing structure for all dnatas services and products Monitor the changing market situations and the competitor activities to ensure that the business strategy and processes are constantly changing to adapt to the environmental conditions and challenges Promote dnata Cargo Handling services as required at industry exhibitions to maintain and enhance dnata Cargo Handling profile and enhance potential customers awareness of dnata Cargo and its products Identify new strategic business opportunities and ensures the successful achievement of the overall business objectives Ensure that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions Ensure compliance with all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude Ensure safety of staff and that they possess the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely by providing support and acting as a role model for the desired safe behaviours Monitor the day-to-day operations activity of the department to ensure that work processes are implemented Manage effective achievement of departmental objectives through the managing the department by recruiting, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisals to maximise subordinate and departmental performance Build and maintain relationships with customers (Airlines, Agents. 3PL, Trade) and ensure that their needs are understood and worked upon to meet the SLAs and enhance customer satisfaction Meet regularly with customer airlines, agents and key stakeholders in the supply chain to seek and provide feedback on services/operations and proactively identifies potential areas of improvement and to recommend to the business unit goals/growthCommunicate regularly with Key Regulatory stakeholders, Free Zones, Ports ,DCA, and Authorities at Dubai Airport, to gain cooperation in developing business for common goals Negotiate mutually beneficial deals and contracts with Cargo Agents / Airlines / Charter operators Qualifications & ExperienceTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirementsBachelors degree and 10-12 years’ experience in an Airline/Logistics or Cargo/Ground Handling industry including developing marketing, sales and commercial strategies5 years experience in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilitiesAdvanced Budget and Cost Control Knowledge Advanced Safety Awareness Understanding of Supply chain management and industry air cargo regulations Advanced level courses related to Cargo Proficient understanding of cargo market dynamics in terms of Imports and exports worldwide Ability to develop/lead Sales/Marketing techniques and strategic plans At dnata, part of Emirates Group, we’re committed to providing our employees with opportunities to grow and develop in their careers.
