Responsibilities

  • Manage the Internal Shariah Supervisory Committee (ISSC) Secretariat and research vertical
  • Formalize meeting minutes and develop the ISSC Secretariat manual
  • Maintain custody of fatwas and ISSC meeting minutes in a systematic manner
  • Draft the ISSC's Annual Shari'ah Report
  • Coordinate logistics for ISSC meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Track the communication of guidelines and resolutions issued by the ISSC
  • Conduct research on Shari'ah and procedural topics to generate articles and reports
  • Contribute to the development of Islamic banking products, policies, and contracts

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in an Islamic Bank, specifically within a Shariah Department
  • Proficiency in Arabic with the ability to write formal Arabic
  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in business or banking
  • Significant exposure to Shari'ah principles through studies or professional experience
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Strong communication and drafting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
