The Maximo SME is tasked with the setup, customization, and ongoing management of Maximo to align with client-specific needs. Primary duties and responsibilities encompass:

  • Engage with clients to outline the desired end-state and roadmap for their Maximo systems.
  • Evaluate, suggest, and apply best practices, innovative technologies, and process frameworks to enhance system effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Offer sustained support for IBM's Maximo, guaranteeing a reliable environment for day-to-day functions.
  • Support clients in data onboarding and aggregation, delivering both technical and business-oriented assistance, issue resolution, report creation, and daily guidance.
  • Consistently refine the Maximo application's functionality, dependability, uptime, performance, eco-friendliness, and security, along with its databases and supplementary tools.

Additional expectations for this role include:

  • Keep abreast of the latest updates, versions, and trends related to Maximo.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate Maximo's integration with other enterprise software and applications.
  • Perform system performance evaluations, pinpoint inefficiencies, and enact improvements.
  • Design and roll out educational programs to instruct users on how to make the most of Maximo's features and best practices.
  • Be involved in system enhancements, software patches, and data migrations as needed.
  • Sustain and augment the Maximo application's overall quality and security, as well as that of its databases and utilities.
  • Innovate and refine Maximo workflows for better management of tasks, logistics, and asset administration.
  • Supervise the verification and quality assurance of final products, ensuring alignment with customer-approved business procedures.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Maximo development
  • Profound expertise in Maximo
  • Familiarity with Maximo versions, specifically Maximo 7.6, and a working knowledge of Maximo 8. Must be proficient in working on upgrades and development in versions 7.6.1.2 and MAS 8.
  • Competency in all Maximo modules and features, including but not limited to Work Order Management, Asset Management, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Configuration, Scripting, Report Development, and interfacing Maximo with other systems like ERP Deltek CostPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational abilities.
