Moreover, Mediclinic values clinical excellence, safety and continuous professional development.</p> <h3>Main purpose of the role</h3> <ul> <li>To perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and guidelines</li> </ul> <h3>Key responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Perform routine tests according to professional standards and guidelines</li> <li>Monitor sample management, including sorting and allocation based on testing requirements</li> <li>Process clinical chemistry, immunology and serology, autoimmune, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion and clinical microscopy tests and related laboratory functions</li> <li>Conducts analysis of body fluids, blood specimens, urine and spinal fluid</li> <li>Result analysis and verification of accuracy of findings</li> <li>Contribute to relevant quality improvement initiatives aimed at mitigating risks, compliance governance and increased patient safety</li> <li>Actively contribute and guide, where needed, relevant training and health and safety initiatives</li> <li>Operate, calibrate, and monitor effective functioning of standard laboratory equipment that includes analysers and maintenance of temperature logs</li> </ul> <h3>Required education</h3> <ul> <li>A relevant Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences or a related field</li> </ul> <h3>Required experience</h3> <ul> <li>At least 3-5 years’ full time experience as a medical laboratory technologist in clinical chemistry</li> </ul> <h3>Required skills and knowledge</h3> <ul> <li>Correct maintenance of instrumentation according to manufacturer’s guidelines</li> <li>Developing standard operating procedures</li> <li>Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)</li> <li>Knowledge of real time multiplex PCR and close molecular systems</li> <li>Knowledgeable in laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and instrumentation troubleshooting</li> <li>Laboratory information systems and reporting</li> <li>All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given to the designated groups in accordance with the United Arab Emirates Emiratization Program.
