Microsoft Security Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to understand business objectives, security concerns, and risk management priorities
  • Assess Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security environments and provide actionable recommendations
  • Design and implement Microsoft security solutions across identity, endpoint, threat protection, governance, compliance, and cloud security
  • Configure and support Microsoft Entra ID capabilities including MFA, SSPR, Conditional Access, and PIM
  • Deploy and optimize Microsoft Defender technologies including Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud
  • Implement endpoint management and security controls using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager
  • Build security monitoring and reporting solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, and KQL
  • Support data protection and compliance initiatives utilizing Microsoft Purview and DLP
  • Develop automation and operational efficiencies using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
  • Deliver trusted advisory services to help clients increase security maturity

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud security, Azure security, or Microsoft 365 security
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft security technologies
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and identity security best practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender security solutions and threat protection
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Log Analytics
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, data protection, and risk management
  • Strong consulting and client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a Microsoft partner or managed services provider
  • Expertise in Exchange, Active Directory, or hybrid identity projects
  • Advanced Microsoft Sentinel, detection engineering, or incident response experience
  • Experience with PowerShell automation, Microsoft Graph, or Azure Automation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, and DLP
  • Experience with Zero Trust and cloud security posture management
  • Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500, or MS-102
