About the position

Centric Brands is a leading lifestyle brand collective that designs, sources, markets, and sells high-quality products in the Kids, Men’s and Women’s apparel, Accessories, Beauty, and Entertainment categories. The Company’s portfolio includes licenses for more than 100 iconic brands. Centric Brands is headquartered in New York City, with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, Greensboro, London, and Hong Kong. We are looking for a Senior Tech Design (Fit&Spec) to join our growing team in Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Receive samples from Overseas
  • Measure and note sample dimensions, mainly plus size
  • Analyze the fit of the samples on the model
  • Execute required adjustments on samples
  • Draw sketches illustrating the modifications to be made
  • Return comments and sketches to suppliers
  • Communicate daily by email with suppliers
  • Explain/review designs and necessary modifications
  • Communicate with the production plant from Overseas
  • Resolve any production problems
  • Send any additional information or sketches as necessary
  • Follow-up on shipments overseas and ensure arrival of merchandise
  • Enter data related to QC. (Dates, suppliers information, etc..)
  • Review inspection report and follow up by email

Requirements

  • Proactive attitude; resourceful and responsible
  • Highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Skilled in creating technical designs using Illustrator
  • Plus size or outerwear experience is a must
  • Bilingual (French/English); English is required as the role involves serving clients from outside Quebec
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel
