Natural Gas Distribution Engineer
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is seeking a highly disciplined, technically elite Mechanical Engineer to join our specialized Natural Gas Directorate. You will serve as a critical technical authority, tasked with ensuring the absolute integrity, pressurization efficiency, and continuous public safety of Sharjah's unique underground natural gas pipeline network.Qualifications: Candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering, or a strictly related technical discipline from an accredited, globally recognized university. You must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of proven corporate or government experience in managing urban natural gas distribution networks. Deep, hands-on technical expertise in pipeline pressure regulating stations, cathodic protection systems, leak detection protocols, and strict compliance with international hazardous materials safety codes is strictly required. Absolute fluency in English is mandatory; bilingual proficiency in Arabic offers a massive strategic advantage for inter-departmental government reporting.Physical & Security Criteria: The role requires high mental stamina to navigate high-pressure, mission-critical operations environments, manage strict utility-reliability targets, and conduct continuous physical site inspections across active pipeline zones and industrial hubs.
